Grace in Weakness
“And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)Paul begged God three times to take the thorn away. He was not asking for something sinful. He was asking for relief, and relief seemed reasonable. But God's answer was not removal. It was replacement: My strength for your weakness.
Day four of thirty on grace, and here is the part nobody tells you: weakness is not the obstacle to grace. Weakness is where grace lives. Paul stopped fighting the thorn and started boasting in it, because every empty place in him became a landing strip for the power of Christ.
The Holy Spirit does His best work in people who have nothing left to offer but yes. The weaker the vessel, the louder the power. Your empty tank is not evidence that God left. It is the exact condition His strength was made for.
Stop apologizing for running on empty this morning. Bring God the weakness. He will bring the strength, and He never runs out.
Prayer: Father, I am tired of pretending I am strong enough. Today I bring You my weakness, my thorn, my empty places. Let Your strength be made perfect in them. Fill me with Your Spirit and carry what I cannot. In Jesus' name, amen.
